Publications of Prof. Kenneth C. Smith

This page is a list of Prof. Kenneth C. Smith's (1932–2023) publications and is dedicated to the memory of his unrelenting spirit of helping and encouraging everyone he encountered in the circuits community, especially those affiliated or connected to the University of Toronto and the International Solid-State Circuit Conference (ISSCC).

Prof. Kenneth C. Smith, pictured in 2009 wearing his signature pink hat, scarf, shirt and tie. His wearing of pink started when wore a pink sweater to cheer up his mother when visiting her in the hospital. His mother loved it, and his distinctive practice was born as he accumulated pink items to wear whenever he visited her.

Prof. Smith exemplified volunteerism by being involved in many conference organizations, including International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) and International Symposium on Multiple-Valued Logic (ISMVL) and principally volunteering for ISSCC for over 50 years. Most recently he served the roles of Press Liaison and Awards & Recognition Committe Chair for ISSCC. He was Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto. His multidisciplinary research interests resulted in cross-appointments to the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, and the Faculty of Library and Information Science.
